Oceanic EDX First Stage Regulator

Oceanic presents you with it’s latest design, the cold-forged over-balanced diaphragm first stage, the EDX. This top-of-the-line first stage is environmentally sealed and comes with 4 low-pressure and 2 high-pressure ports. It also comes equipped with a heat exchanger for added cold-water performance. The IDX is made of forged chromed marine brass and is inherently environmentally sealed, meaning none of the delicate internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants can cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. This means you can rest assured that your first stage regulator will require less maintenance, and will be more reliable during your dive.

In addition, the eDX first stage regulator has a secondary diaphragm to completely seal-off the main spring cavity. A sealed balanced diaphragm design isolates the mainspring cavities internal components from the environment making the eDX an excellent choice for ice diving (it won’t freeze up!)
